The “unwatchable” 1994 movie Charlie Sheen wants to delete from history: “It just was muddled”
Charlie Sheen has described parts of 1994 sequel Major League II as “unwatchable”, saying it was overcrowded and muddled. His comments matter because they contrast sharply with the success of the original Major League, which helped establish him as a prominent young film actor in the late 1980s.
The first film earned about $75 million from an $11 million budget and holds an 83% Rotten Tomatoes score. Major League II, released five years later without Wesley Snipes returning, cost $25 million and grossed $53 million; its Rotten Tomatoes score is 5%. Sheen said a future revival would work better as a streaming television series, or that the franchise should simply be left alone.
