The Vampire Lestat has concluded its first season, with the finale delivering fresh twists for viewers, including a deeper reveal about Armand's role in orchestrating Louis' connection to Regina. Ahead of the episode's release, Collider spoke with cast members, including Delainey Hayles, who plays Regina, about the most pivotal moments of the finale and how key scenes were put together behind the scenes.

Hayles discussed filming an emotionally complex scene with Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman) in which Louis' severed head appears, explaining that the production used an uncanny-valley animatronic head alongside Anderson performing through a hole in a table wearing green-screen clothing, later edited together in post-production. She also described filming her character's scream upon seeing Louis in this state, which took three or four takes partly due to technical issues with a bandage prop, and reflected on enjoying a different, less adversarial onscreen dynamic with Zaman's character than his usual rivalry with Claudia.
