Unlike rival high-end headsets from SteelSeries and Turtle Beach, which cut out audio the instant their battery is removed, the InfinitePlay keeps playing sound uninterrupted during a swap, thanks to a built-in fallback battery. This matters because battery-swap systems have become a key selling point for premium wireless headsets, and Glorious has reportedly improved on the format at a lower price than its $400 competitors.

The headset's cartridge-style batteries slot into the right ear cup and cannot be inserted incorrectly, making swaps quick and simple even mid-game. A backup battery provides up to three hours of runtime during changeovers, while the two included battery packs are each rated for up to 85 hours of use.
