CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a remastered version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch on 29 September, bringing enhanced graphics, updated combat and a reworked skill tree to the acclaimed 2015 role-playing game. The release matters as part of a broader wave of Witcher content: it arrives ahead of the game's final expansion, Songs of the Past, due next year, and well before The Witcher 4, which is set for consoles in 2028 with Ciri taking over as the playable lead from Geralt.

The remaster will also add new accessibility options, letting players disable mechanics such as carry weight limits, weapon durability and restricted underwater breath. CD Projekt Red has confirmed Geralt will appear in The Witcher 4, but only in a non-playable role, which also settles fan speculation that he might die in Songs of the Past. The studio has not confirmed whether The Witcher 4's 2028 release will coincide with next-generation consoles, and a new final season of the Netflix adaptation is also expected next year.
