New here? Start with this
The XCERTS are a band with multiple albums in their catalogue and a committed fanbase. They recently released their latest album, 'i think i want to go home now'.
Before announcing live dates, the band gave their audience time to listen to and absorb the new record. This means the album had begun circulating among fans before the headline tour was announced in support of it.
A headline tour is when a band performs as the main act on the bill, rather than as a supporting band. For The XCERTS, this represents their first tour focused on the new album, though they plan to perform material from their earlier albums alongside these new songs.

The XCERTS have announced a nine-date UK headline tour for January and February 2027 in support of their album ‘i think i want to go home now.’. The run begins at Patterns in Brighton on 23 January and ends at Joiners in Southampton on 4 February. It will be the band’s first headline tour in support of the record, which was released through FLG earlier in 2026.
Singer Murray MacLeod said the band had deliberately allowed time for listeners to get to know the album before taking it on the road. He said they were eager to perform again and intended to draw from every album in their catalogue, giving the shows a wider scope than the new record alone.
After Brighton, the band are due to play Birmingham’s O2 Institute 3 on 24 January, Ambers in Manchester on 25 January and the Cluny in Newcastle on 27 January. The Scottish dates follow at Glasgow Art School on 28 January, Aberdeen’s Unit 51 on 29 January and the Tolbooth in Stirling on 30 January. The tour then resumes at Oslo in London on 3 February before its Southampton finale the following night.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale at 10am on 9 October. The announcement places the album at the centre of the tour while promising a set that reaches further back through The XCERTS’ work. No support acts or further dates are specified in the supplied report.
