The improvised display, based on the deliberately crude ‘Spoderman’ internet meme, has gone viral and drawn praise for its humour and handmade approach.

The poster was placed at Famous Players 6 alongside an apology explaining that the real posters had not arrived. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is described as the highest-grossing domestic release since Avengers: Endgame, while a person claiming to be an employee’s mother identified the artist as Drake and said visitors were stopping to photograph the display.
