There’s now an API for mainlining Trump’s Truth Social posts
Trump Media and Technology Group, the company behind Truth Social, has announced a new paid API that will give businesses real-time access to posts from the platform's top accounts, launching on 1 August. The move effectively creates a direct commercial pipeline for traders and investors seeking to act quickly on posts from President Donald Trump, who is both a majority shareholder in the company and Truth Social's most-followed user, given his habit of announcing policy and government decisions on the platform before official channels confirm them.
The company says the "Truth API" will deliver posts within milliseconds using industry-standard methods, offer continuous 24/7 coverage, and include a historical archive dating back to 2022. Trump Media's chief executive, Kevin McGurn, argued the offering is distinct from other social platforms' APIs because "markets already move on Truth Social posts." Trump has around 12.9 million followers on the platform as of July 2026, and the company has said it expects the API to become a significant, ongoing revenue source benefiting shareholders, including the President's family.
