The figures also reveal a pattern of serious criminal incidents at the park beyond traffic complaints. Police recorded 12 sexual offences, approximately 22 violence-related calls, and 41 reports concerning someone's safety. The public disclosure of these statistics followed a cluster of high-profile events in May 2026, including the drowning death of a teenager and reports of group violence and assault, underscoring persistent public safety concerns at what remains a popular family recreational site.
