‘These Summer Storms’ Series Adaptation In Works At Hulu From Melanie Marnich, Erin & Sara Foster
Hulu is developing a drama series based on Sarah MacLean’s novel *These Summer Storms*, with Erin and Sara Foster attached as executive producers. The project brings together the Fosters, whose Netflix comedy *Nobody Wants This* has launched its third season, and writer Melanie Marnich; it is in development at Hulu, so a series has not yet been confirmed.
The story follows Alice Storm, who returns to her wealthy family’s private island off Rhode Island after her father’s death, five years after she was cast out. Marnich, known for adapting *Apples Never Fall*, will write and executive produce, alongside the Foster sisters and other producers; 20th Television is the studio. MacLean’s 2025 novel is the source material.
