Cassandra Lin, the widow of celebrity dentist Dr Steven Lin, has revealed a third family tragedy after her husband was shot dead by police in Sydney earlier this year while on a methamphetamine-fuelled rampage. The disclosure follows a devastating run of losses for Ms Lin, who only last month spoke publicly about the "nightmare" of losing her brother shortly after her husband's death, and now faces the grief of losing her grandmother as well.

Her brother, Christopher Jenkins, 40, died following complications from a routine elective ear, nose and throat operation. Ms Lin has now disclosed that her grandmother has also passed away, saying she hopes the two will be "reunited" in the afterlife, capping a six-month period in which she has lost her husband, brother and grandmother.
