Mattel Brick Shop has unveiled a LEGO-style building kit celebrating Xbox's 25th anniversary, letting fans construct a full-size replica of Microsoft's original 2001 console. The set is notable for its scale and detail, and matters to collectors as it marks a rare crossover between Mattel's newer construction-toy line and a major gaming brand, competing directly with LEGO in a space it doesn't typically occupy. It is available to preorder now, though it has already sold out at one major retailer, suggesting strong early demand.

The 3,509-piece set includes the console itself, a full-size functioning Duke controller with pressable buttons, and hidden dioramas from three classic Xbox titles: Halo: Combat Evolved, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts. Pressing the controller's buttons triggers lights and sounds within the dioramas, and a hidden button combination unlocks an exclusive lighting sequence; the set also comes with 12 collectible "NanoWorld" figures.
