Threads has a VR app now

The Verge · 2 hours ago

Meta has released a Threads app for its Quest VR headsets, expanding the social media platform's reach into virtual reality following its launch on Ray-Ban Display AR glasses last month. The move comes shortly after Threads announced it had surpassed 500 million monthly active users, and reflects Meta's broader push to weave its apps into every hardware platform it makes, from smartphones to smart glasses to headsets.

The VR version appears fully featured, letting users browse their feed, create posts, like and reply, view profiles, search and watch videos, all within a headset. Meta says the app is designed to let people stay connected while gaming, discussing TV shows or albums with friends, or making quick check-ins during other VR activities. It is available now to download from Meta's app store.
