A 31-year-old man was shot four times at a car park in Costa del Sol, Spain on 28 July during an apparent dispute between drug gangs. The victim, a Lithuanian national, survived the shooting and was treated at hospital in Marbella. Three British nationals have been arrested in connection with the attack as part of a wider police operation against synthetic drug trafficking in the region.

The shooting occurred near the Andalucía Beach residential complex at approximately 5:30pm, with the perpetrators—wearing hoods to conceal their identities—fleeing the scene in a car with foreign number plates. Bar staff nearby provided immediate assistance to the victim, who was left bleeding at the scene. Two of the three arrested British nationals, apprehended near La Zenia in Murcia over 300 miles away, are in preventive detention on charges including attempted murder, whilst the third has been released on bail pending further investigation.
