Three Days Grace vocalist Matt Walst has revealed that the band is already developing ideas for a follow-up to their 2025 album "Alienation," with formal songwriting set to begin next year. Speaking to Edmonton radio station 100.3 The Bear, Walst said the group would take a short break after touring commitments this month before returning to the road, with new material to follow. The news signals continued momentum for the band's revitalised line-up following original singer Adam Gontier's return after a 12-year absence.

"Alienation," released in August 2025 via RCA Records, marked the reunion of Gontier alongside Matt Walst, Neil Sanderson, Brad Walst and Barry Stock, with the two frontmen sharing vocal duties live since February 2025. Both singers have described the dual-vocalist dynamic as coming together naturally on stage, with Gontier saying he particularly enjoys performing songs recorded during his time away from the band. Gontier originally left Three Days Grace in 2013 amid addiction issues, before briefly reuniting with the group onstage in 2023 ahead of his full return in 2025.
