Three men arrested following suspected murder of semi-professional footballer
Three men have been arrested after 26-year-old semi-professional footballer Ezekiel Williams died in hospital following an assault in Milton Keynes on Sunday morning. Thames Valley Police have opened a murder investigation and say they do not believe there is a wider risk to the local community.
Two men, aged 21 and 28 and from Luton, were arrested on suspicion of murder; a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Williams played for Hendon, where he had recently scored his first goal, and previously represented several other clubs. Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam or CCTV footage from Midsummer Boulevard and The Hub between 1am and 2am.
