Ticketmaster launches connected app in Google’s Gemini, a day after the AI assistant passed 1B monthly users
Ticketmaster has launched a connected app within Google’s Gemini AI assistant, allowing US users to search for concerts, sport, theatre and festivals through natural-language conversations. The move matters because it places Ticketmaster’s ticket inventory in an AI app that Google says has surpassed one billion monthly active users, potentially widening discovery for event organisers and fans.
Users can connect Ticketmaster in Gemini, use prompts such as asking for concerts in a city or tickets below a budget, then view event details, seat options and prices before being redirected to Ticketmaster with seats selected. The English-language service is available on Gemini’s web, iOS and Android platforms in the US, with broader markets planned; Ticketmaster says its AI layer also supports Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Claude and Alexa+. Ticketmaster reported $852 million in second-quarter 2026 revenue, up 15% year on year, from 90 million fee-bearing tickets sold.
- Ticketmaster now lets US Gemini users find tickets conversationally.
- Gemini passed one billion monthly active users.
- Purchases remain completed through Ticketmaster’s marketplace.
