The Toronto International Film Festival has revealed five new titles joining its Special Presentations line-up for its 51st edition, running from 10-20 September 2026. The announcement brings further star power to a festival long known as a springboard for awards-season contenders, particularly through its People's Choice Award, previous winners of which include "Chariots of Fire", "American Beauty", "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Green Book".

The additions include "Alpha Gang" from Zellner brothers David and Nathan, a sci-fi comedy about alien invaders who grow fond of humanity, starring Cate Blanchett, Chris Pine and Dave Bautista; "Glaxo", a decades-spanning drama from Argentine director Benjamín Naishtat; and Rachel Morrison's romantic drama "Love of Your Life", produced by Ryan Gosling and starring Margaret Qualley. Also joining the programme are Ben Shirinian's directorial debut "The Housewife", featuring Tye Sheridan and Naomi Watts, and "Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother" from Bassam Tariq, which stars two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as a hitman protecting his family in Houston.
