Titus Welliver’s ‘Bosch’ Replacement Officially Revealed in First Look at New Spin-Off
Developing story first seen 2 hours ago
New images have revealed Cameron Monaghan as a young Harry Bosch in *Bosch: Start of Watch*, a prequel that recasts the role previously played by Titus Welliver. The series returns to Bosch’s early years as a Los Angeles police officer and marks a new chapter for the character after *Bosch* and its sequel *Bosch: Legacy*.
Monaghan’s Bosch is a Persian Gulf War veteran joining the LAPD as the city faces racial tension and violence. The cast includes Omari Hardwick as mentor Eli Bridges, Ariana Guerra as rookie officer Rosa and J.D. Pardo as Bosch’s foster brother Cory. Showrunner Tom Bernardo worked on the earlier series; this story is not based on a Michael Connelly novel and premieres on MGM+ with two episodes on 10 January 2027, followed by weekly episodes until 21 February.
