To escalate its relationship-straining putting contests, Golf With Your Friends 2 is turning to chaos and custom courses

Rock Paper Shotgun · 2 hours ago

Golf With Your Friends 2 is being developed by Radical Forge, the team behind the original game’s DLC, and aims to make its competitive mini-golf matches more unpredictable. Its main new feature, Chaos mode, will alter courses between rounds with changing layouts, hazards and mechanics, reducing the advantage of memorising successful shots.

The sequel will launch fully rather than through early access, with fewer courses than the first game but more elaborate designs, including an extreme-sports beach course and a space-themed level. Chaos mode can add boost pads, pinball bumpers, UFOs and elements borrowed from other courses; lead designer Annie Grudeva said it could take roughly 10,000 permutations before the same layout reappears. Existing alternative modes, Dunk and Hockey, are also being updated, while the level editor is intended to be more accessible.

  • Golf With Your Friends 2 adds unpredictable Chaos mode.
  • Courses will feature changing hazards and layouts.
  • The sequel updates modes and simplifies course creation.
