Todd Howard Says Fallout’s Future Is Bigger Than The Long Wait For Fallout 5
Bethesda Game Studios head Todd Howard has said the future of Fallout should be viewed as a wider franchise strategy rather than solely through the long wait for Fallout 5. He said Bethesda is aiming to release games, television, mobile projects and remasters at the right time and to a high standard, as the franchise continues to expand beyond its mainline games.
Fallout 5 remains Bethesda’s “long-term destination” and is currently in pre-production, with no release date announced. In the meantime, Bethesda has confirmed remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, a new Fallout project involving Obsidian Entertainment, and a major Fallout 76 update, Raven Rock, later this year; the Prime Video series has aired two seasons and has a third planned.
