Todrick Hall admits he may never fully trust former manager Scooter Braun, despite reunion
Todrick Hall says he is cautiously rebuilding his relationship with former manager Scooter Braun, who is now a producer on Hall’s off-Broadway musical, “Midnight”. Hall said he may never fully trust Braun again, but values their effort to improve their relationship after a painful falling-out.
Braun managed Hall for six years from 2013, and their feud became public in 2019 after Hall defended Taylor Swift when Braun acquired her masters. Hall said Braun contacted him during the pandemic and they later apologised to each other. Braun invested in “Midnight”, attended a performance and cried backstage, Hall said; the show’s run has been extended to 3 January.
In short
- Hall is working with former manager Scooter Braun again.
- He says he may never fully trust Braun.

Steelman: both sides, in good faith
The strongest fair case each way — we don't pick a winner.
The case for
Rebuilding the relationship can be a thoughtful choice if both men have acknowledged the harm and are making a sincere effort to repair it. Their history and Braun’s involvement in “Midnight” may give them reason to value renewed trust, while Hall’s willingness to proceed cautiously shows that reconciliation need not mean forgetting the past.
The case against
Hall is entitled to remain wary after a painful public falling-out, and apologies or renewed professional ties do not automatically restore trust. Keeping distance could protect him from repeating a damaging relationship and allow him to judge Braun’s actions over time rather than feel obliged to reconcile.
