Toem 2 Is Somehow Even More Perfect Than Toem
Toem 2 keeps the first game’s camera-based puzzle adventure and improves on it with more polished mechanics, larger areas and extra places to explore. The reviewer says its gentle challenges, whimsical characters and humour make it an appealing, accessible game, though the short experience leaves them wanting more.
Players visit three new locations, each with camera abilities used to help residents solve problems, from hammering nails to fixing pipes. The black-and-white adventure takes about four hours and adds more interiors, secrets, photo quests and a minimap; it is due out on PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X on 29 September.
- A polished, charming sequel to Toem.
- Three new areas add camera-based puzzles and secrets.
- The four-hour adventure leaves the reviewer wanting more.
