The Tokyo Gap-Financing Market (TGFM) has announced a partnership with Frontières, a Canadian co-production market specializing in horror and thriller films operated by the Fantasia International Film Festival. The collaboration marks Frontières' first presence in Asia and significantly expands TGFM's seventh edition by introducing a dedicated genre slate to the market's financing framework, broadening appeal to filmmakers and investors focused on horror and thriller content.

The expanded market will present 24 feature film projects from across Asia, Europe, and the Americas during the October event at TIFFCOM in Tokyo. The partnership creates new pathways for international producers in the genre space to secure gap financing and connect with co-producers, positioning TGFM as a more diverse financing hub that bridges traditional film funding with the growing demand for specialized genre cinema.
