Tom Cruise danced his way through “The Jennifer Hudson Show’s” Spirit Tunnel, joining staff in a playful welcome set to a version of “Old Time Rock and Roll”. The appearance revisited the dance scene from his 1983 film “Risky Business” and forms part of the publicity tour for his new film, “Digger”.

The show’s staff wore black sunglasses and sang lyrics celebrating Cruise as a cinema legend as he walked from his dressing room towards the stage. Cruise put on his own shades, danced along and brought some staff members into the routine. Hudson said she invited him during a meeting at this summer’s World Cup final; the full interview is due to air on Wednesday, ahead of “Digger’s” theatrical release on Friday, 2 October.
