Tom Felton Extends Run As Draco Malfoy For Final Time In Broadway’s ‘Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’
Tom Felton will remain in Broadway's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child as the adult Draco Malfoy for a further two months, producers have confirmed, in what they describe as his final extension in the role. The actor, who played the young Draco in the film franchise, joined the stage production at the Lyric Theatre on 11 November 2025, giving a significant boost to public interest in a play that first opened in 2018. His casting marked the first time an original Harry Potter film actor had joined the Broadway production.
Felton had originally been due to leave on 1 November but will now continue through to Sunday 3 January 2027, with scheduled absences on several dates between August and November. Since he joined, the production has consistently ranked at or near the top of Broadway's weekly grosses charts. He performs alongside John Skelley as Harry Potter, Trish Lindstrom as Ginny Potter, Rachel Christopher as Hermione Granger and Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, in a story set 19 years after the original series.
