Tom Holland vomited after eating the intensely spicy wings on YouTube interview show “Hot Ones”, while appearing alongside his co-star Jon Bernthal. The incident is notable because host Sean Evans said it may have been the first time a guest had been sick during the programme’s eight-year history.

Holland had visibly struggled with the heat throughout the interview, then began coughing and vomited while filming promotional material after the wing challenge. He laughed afterwards and joked that the production could use the footage, while Bernthal encouraged him and handed him a napkin; the pair were promoting their latest film and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, due to open on 31 July.
