Tool’s Danny Carey and The Cult’s John Tempesta Perform with Seattle Seahawks Drumline: Watch

Consequence ·

Tool drummer Danny Carey and The Cult’s John Tempesta joined the Seattle Seahawks’ “Blue Thunder” drumline before the team’s home game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The appearance brought two rock drummers together for a pre-match performance, with an added twist for Carey, who grew up near Kansas City and supports the Chiefs.

Both musicians wore Seahawks No. 12 jerseys, and Seattle went on to win 20-3. The performance followed an earlier Seahawks home-game appearance by Soundgarden’s surviving members, Taylor Momsen and Mike McCready, who also played with Blue Thunder. The Cult are due to support A Perfect Circle on a 2027 North American tour featuring Carey’s Tool bandmate Maynard James Keenan.
