CNN Films, TIME Studios and Tribeca Studios have released the trailer for "Top of the World," a documentary short about Windows on the World, the renowned restaurant that once occupied the 107th floor of the World Trade Center's north tower. Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmakers Julie Cohen and Betsy West, the film arrives ahead of the 25th anniversary of the 11 September 2001 attacks, in which 91 guests and 79 restaurant employees died when the twin towers fell, and aims to preserve the restaurant's legacy through the recollections of former staff.

The documentary features interviews with former staff including chef Michael Lomonaco, cellar master Kevin Zraly, hostess Nathalie Tolentino and prep cook Sekou Siby, alongside food writer Ruth Reichl and ex-WNBC anchor Carol Jenkins, while actor Denis Leary voices archival words of restaurant creator Joe Baum, who opened Windows on the World 50 years ago. It will run for Oscar qualification at DCTV Firehouse Cinema in Manhattan from 28 August to 3 September, before premiering on CNN on 7 September and streaming via CNN.com/Watch and the CNN app from 8 September. The film is inspired by Tom Roston's book "The Most Spectacular Restaurant in the World."
