The Toronto International Film Festival has revealed the 2026 line-ups for its Wavelengths and TIFF Classics strands, ahead of the festival's run from 10 to 20 September. Wavelengths, which champions boundary-pushing cinema, will present 11 feature films alongside a selection of shorts and mid-length works, offering a platform for experimental and auteur-driven filmmaking that sits apart from the festival's mainstream premieres.

Wavelengths highlights include Beatrice Gibson's At Night, Lisandro Alonso's Double Freedom (a spinoff of his 2001 film La Libertad), and Sebastian Brameshuber's London, alongside new work from festival regulars Angela Schanelec, Nicolás Pereda, Denis Côté and Radu Jude. World premieres feature Yuula Benivolski's The Black Box is Orange and John Torres' The Remotes, while non-fiction entries include the posthumous documentary Once Upon a Time in Harlem and Mariano Llinás' five-and-a-half-hour Life of Jorge Luis Borges. TIFF Classics, meanwhile, will screen a 4K director's cut of Ken Russell's The Devils and a restored version of Lynne Stopkewich's Kissed, plus the Pelechian Project, showcasing five newly restored films by Armenian filmmaker Artavazd Pelechian.
