Creative Assembly has revealed that the Orks’ Stompa will be the largest unit ever featured in a Total War game when Total War: Warhammer 40,000 launches. The reveal matters because it signals the scale the developer is aiming for in adapting Warhammer 40,000’s huge battlefield machines to the strategy series.

The Stompa is a heavily armed, walking Ork battle fortress with multiple guns, a massive claw and a large support crew. In the showcased battle, it survives a rare Astra Militarum orbital strike before eventually exploding; Creative Assembly also said it hopes to introduce even larger units later, although the game still has no release date.
