YorkshireLive Sheffield · 2 hours ago

A 26-year-old man has died after a collision with an ambulance on Myrtle Road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire Police have confirmed. Officers were called to the scene at 6.41pm on Wednesday 9 September, and medical staff performed CPR on the man, but he could not be saved and died at the scene. The incident is one of two separate events South Yorkshire Police responded to that evening, alongside a cordon at Havelock Bridge in Heeley.

The ambulance driver remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries, and officers are supporting the man's family following what the force described as a "tragic incident". Images shared on Sheffield Online showed a significant police presence at the scene, with marked vehicles and officers redirecting traffic away from the area.
