Trey Songz Gets Zero Jail Time After Arrest for Allegedly Punching Nightclub Employee

Rolling Stone · 3 hours ago

R&B singer Trey Songz has received no jail sentence after an arrest linked to allegations that he punched a New York nightclub employee. He was given a one-year conditional discharge for second-degree harassment, meaning he will avoid incarceration and probation if he complies with the court’s terms for 365 days.

The case arose from an alleged December incident at Dramma Night Club in Times Square, where prosecutors said Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, struck an employee. After completing mental health treatment and meeting court-ordered conditions, he withdrew an earlier misdemeanour plea and remained convicted only of the non-criminal harassment violation; a separate felony mischief charge over about $1,500 of alleged damage at a Manhattan restaurant was later dropped.
