Pop star Troye Sivan is releasing his fourth studio album, She's the Best, on 9 October, with a central theme exploring his lifelong comfort and sense of belonging when surrounded by women. In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Sivan explained that women have provided him with a feeling of safety and protection that he hasn't experienced from men, a realisation that became fundamental to the album's creative direction. He credited women with consistently having his back throughout his life and career.

The album features collaborations with a diverse roster of artists including Charli xcx, Ariana Grande, Lily-Rose Depp, and Nicole Kidman. Sivan recalled childhood memories of getting ready for house parties with female friends, describing those moments as far more enjoyable than the parties themselves, where he encountered homophobic behaviour from boys. The lead single, "Party," samples Madonna's 2000 hit "Music."
