Tubi Adds ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,’ ‘Jurassic World’ & More To International Service With Sony & NBCU Deals

Deadline · 4 hours ago

Tubi, Fox's free ad-supported streaming service, has struck new content deals with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution and Sony Pictures Entertainment that will bring hundreds of additional films and TV episodes to its platforms in the UK, Australia and Canada. The move forms part of Tubi's continued push to expand internationally, following recent news that it has surpassed 110 million monthly active users worldwide, and comes as the service seeks to compete more strongly against rival free and paid streamers in these key overseas markets.

Under the agreements, UK viewers will gain access to Sony titles such as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Baby Driver and The Da Vinci Code, alongside NBCU films including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Shaun of the Dead. Australian audiences will see additions like Ex Machina, Jumanji and Lady Bird, while Canadian users will get Jurassic World, Happy Gilmore and The Fifth Element. The UK remains a particularly significant market for Tubi, which reported in April that it had surpassed 75,000 movies and TV episodes locally and had achieved 50% year-on-year growth in both viewing time and monthly viewers there; the company's international boss, David Salmon, said the deals aim to give viewers "greater access to premium movies and television for free."
