Twenty One Pilots are set to make their Rock in Rio debut on 13th September, with drummer Josh Dun praising Brazilian audiences as among the most passionate in the world. Speaking to Billboard Brasil, Dun said every visit to Brazil had exceeded his expectations, recalling the band's last-minute replacement slot for Blink-182 at Lollapalooza Brazil in 2023 as an especially memorable experience despite initial worries about the crowd's reaction.

The duo will headline Rock in Rio's World Stage, marking their sixth visit to the country and what Dun described as a long-held goal finally being realised. The appearance follows other recent Latin American highlights, including a concert film capturing their February 2025 show for 65,000 fans in Mexico City and a live album, released in August, which has since charted in both the US and UK. Twenty One Pilots' wider 2026 schedule includes further festival dates across North America before closing with a Mexico City show in November.
