Minnesota Twins starter Taj Bradley threw an immaculate inning — striking out three Athletics batters on nine consecutive strikes — during the fifth inning of Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat. It was the first such inning in Twins franchise history, making it a notable individual achievement despite the team’s loss.

Bradley struck out Carlos Cortes, Brian Serven and Henry Bolte, ending the sequence with a 100mph fastball that froze Bolte. He allowed four runs over 6⅔ innings, striking out 11 to match his career high, and now has a 9-6 record with a 3.97 ERA this season.
