Twisted Teens Sign to Sub Pop

Pitchfork · 3 hours ago

New Orleans punk band Twisted Teens have signed to Sub Pop, with the label taking over international release duties for the group's recent album Florida Water Blues. The band, fronted by Caspian Halliwell and RJ Santos, have built a reputation for prolific output and heavy touring, and the signing gives them a larger platform as they continue to expand an already packed live schedule.

Alongside the announcement, the band added two extra US dates in Los Angeles and San Francisco for early September, supplementing an extensive itinerary that runs through the fourth quarter of the year. Florida Water Blues follows their January release Blame the Clown and their self-titled 2024 debut, with Going Underground retaining North American rights to the new album. Their touring plans include support slots with the Breeders and Kurt Vile and the Violators across North America, plus a run of Australian dates in December, including an appearance at the Meredith Music Festival.
