Nintendo has added two unreleased Virtual Boy titles to its Switch Online subscription service, completing a revival effort for the decade-old handheld library. Zero Racers is a racing game where players navigate floating vehicles through underground courses set in a distant future, whilst D-Hopper is a platformer following Prince Dorin's journey across floating islands as he searches for missing spirits from the fairy kingdom. Alongside these releases, the Virtual Boy emulator received an update enabling players to customise the screen's colour display.

These releases represent Nintendo's ongoing initiative to preserve and distribute Virtual Boy games that never reached consumers when the system was active. The company simultaneously announced five Virtual Boy soundtrack albums now available on its Nintendo Music subscription service, covering titles like Wario Land and Mario Clash. Nintendo also confirmed that Super Mario Sunshine will arrive on the GameCube catalogue section of the service later in August.
