Two cyclists have died after a car ploughed into a group of three riders near Gravesend in Kent, prompting Kent Police to arrest three people as they investigate the circumstances of the crash. The collision occurred early on Sunday morning and has left a third cyclist in hospital with minor injuries, while police continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

The crash happened at 7.47am on Sole Street in Cobham, near the junction with Round Street, when a white Ford Focus travelling towards Meopham struck the three cyclists. A man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s were pronounced dead at the scene, and their next of kin have been informed. Two men, aged 20 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, while a 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
