BAG Ventures raises $11.3m fund for enterprise-focused AI startups

TechCrunch · 22 minutes ago

BAG Ventures, founded by former Google executives Bontia Stewart and Jackson Georges Jr., has closed an $11.3 million fund to invest in early-stage AI companies. The firm is betting that enterprise buyers are moving beyond experimentation and will spend on AI products that deliver measurable results, making its focus on practical, revenue-ready businesses timely.

BAG has already invested in 10 companies, including software firm SXD, AI travel agent BizTrip and reasoning platform Nomadic. It invests $100,000 to $500,000 in areas such as AI infrastructure, security and industry-specific software, and plans to deploy the remaining capital over two years. The founders say their network of more than 150 limited partners, including Google and operators from Nvidia, Amazon and Snowflake, can help startups reach customers; they favour teams with a working product, a prospective partner and a clear route to revenue.
