Kathleen Loura, 65, a psychiatrist married to a tech executive and living in a $2.8 million Arizona golf club mansion, was arrested after a drunken outburst at Nashville International Airport last October. She had been denied boarding a Southwest Airlines flight for appearing intoxicated, and was accused of assaulting a gate agent before being handcuffed by police in front of watching passengers, some of whom applauded as she was led away. Police bodycam footage of the incident has only recently come to light.

The Southwest worker alleged Loura hit her with a purse and used her body to push past her, while bodycam footage shows Loura, dressed in cowboy hats and an ivory dress, hurling abuse including a racial slur at the employee and threatening to sue the airline. She admitted drinking throughout the day, and police found vodka shooters and a vodka cocktail in her purse. Although she was initially allowed to leave the airport voluntarily after Southwest refunded her ticket, Loura continued arguing with officers and was ultimately arrested, spending the night in Davidson County Jail on multiple charges.
