The report suggests the game may be given a new title and substantially reworked, underlining the unusually long and uncertain development of one of gaming’s most delayed projects.

The claim originates with YouTuber Attack the Backlog, citing Nintendo leaker Nash Weedle, and has not been confirmed by Ubisoft. Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced in 2008 and reintroduced in 2017, but little has been shown since; the report also speculates that its scalable engine could allow a version for Nintendo Switch 2.
