Ugreen, the Chinese electronics maker best known for chargers, cables and NAS devices, has launched an "AIoT" smart home lineup built around local AI hubs, unveiled at a Gillette Stadium event in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The HomeAgent and MasterAgent hubs run AI processing on-device rather than in the cloud, aiming to match features from Amazon and Google's smart home systems while keeping sensitive user data local, a privacy-focused pitch that comes at a considerable price premium.

The range includes the entry-level HA100 ($1,799, or $899 early bird) and more capable HA100 Pro ($5,999, or $2,999 early bird), which adds motion understanding and voice-created automation rules, plus the flagship MasterAgent MA100 running Nvidia's Jetson Thor platform, priced at $20,000 (50% off for early birds) and offering up to 2,070 TOPS of AI performance. The hubs support ONVIF and Matter devices out of the box, with Zigbee and Thread support planned, though notably lack official Home Assistant compatibility. Ugreen also revealed accompanying security cameras, a smart picture frame and a smart speaker, though only a single working HomeAgent unit with basic demos was shown at the launch.
