Israel's government has responded with threats of reciprocal measures and characterised the UK's approach as a grave strategic miscalculation. Nevertheless, British polling indicates majority public support for the sanctions, and eleven additional countries—including Canada, France, Spain, Ireland, and Nordic and European nations—have aligned with the UK position, reflecting a broadening international consensus regarding settlement expansion.
