Ultrahuman has overhauled its companion app with a major redesign codenamed Emerald, aimed at simplifying what had previously been a dense, data-heavy interface. The update replaces the cluttered layout with a default tab showing contextual information tailored to the user's needs at any given moment, and introduces "Ultrasphere," a decision engine that uses the company's AI, Jade, to suggest personalised "next best actions" based on vital signs and context, such as recommending a short walk instead of coffee during an afternoon energy dip.

A key technical change is that all insight processing now happens on-device rather than relying on a phone connection, meaning users still receive useful analysis in situations like flights when their phone is offline. Ultrahuman has also refined the algorithms behind its VO2 Max calculations for greater accuracy, alongside updates to AFib detection, data sharing options and the ability to view heart rate readings live within the app. The Emerald update began rolling out to all users on 23 July 2026.
