UN-appointed investigators said there were “reasonable grounds” to believe US air strikes in Iran may have constituted war crimes, while also accusing Iran’s government of serious human rights violations. They called for an immediate end to hostilities, independent investigations and accountability for alleged violations by the US, Israel and Iran.

The report said a Tomahawk missile strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School in Minab killed more than 150 people, including about 120 children, while another strike in Lamerd killed 22 civilians. It also alleged that Iranian security forces killed protesters in all 31 provinces, including at least 221 children, arrested tens of thousands and executed 29 people after expedited trials.
