Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have announced their seventh studio album, Shapes of Midnight, set for release on 18th September via Killer Candy Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has shared the title track as the album's second single, offering fans an early taste of its sound ahead of the full release.

"Shapes of Midnight" blends a faster, boogie-driven energy with the band's trademark doomy, retro-horror atmosphere, and includes a psych-prog middle section reminiscent of Hawkwind's space rock. The band says the album marries the guitar-forward approach of their earlier work with the confident synth textures explored on their previous record, Nell' Ora Blu. The title track follows lead single "Don't Let It Control You," released in April, and the eight-song album will be supported by a UK tour in November with The Wytches as support.
