‘Unexplained neurological symptoms’ behind Henderson absence
TreVeyon Henderson says unexplained neurological symptoms led to several days in hospital and are behind his absence from the New England Patriots. The 24-year-old is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, after also sitting out the win over the Miami Dolphins.
Henderson said extensive medical tests produced reassuring results, but doctors have not identified the cause of the symptoms. They have affected his strength, co-ordination and some physical functions, and he is working with specialists and physical therapists on his recovery. He has played six times this season, rushing for 203 yards on 52 attempts and scoring one touchdown.
