United launches tracker for Starlink Wi-Fi availability by flight
United has introduced a tracker that lets passengers check whether their flight is scheduled to have Starlink Wi-Fi and see updates if the aircraft changes. The tool gives travellers a way to check availability close to departure, while United continues to provide Wi-Fi information in pre-flight emails and text messages.
United says 635 mainline and United Express aircraft are equipped with Starlink, covering nearly half of its daily departures. Passengers can search by flight number and travel date within three days of departure; the tracker also shows availability by aircraft type and at eight hubs. The airline is installing Starlink on about 20 planes a week and aims to complete the rollout by the end of 2027.
