A new four-part Fox Nation series re-examines the crimes of Joseph DeAngelo, known as the Visalia Ransacker, East Area Rapist and Golden State Killer. It questions whether his documented offences represent his full criminal history, and whether he may have attacked additional victims before and after the established timeline.

DeAngelo was arrested in 2018 at 72 after investigators used genetic genealogy, and pleaded guilty in 2020 to 50 rapes and 13 murders. The series revisits earlier alleged assaults, the murders of two teenagers, possible attempts to frame others, more than 50 attacks attributed to the East Area Rapist, and unsolved cases including Donna Richmond and Bess Snelling. It also examines whether his crimes truly stopped in 1986.
